Infusionsoft Shopping Cart Storefront Home Category Override
The Custom Home Category URL setting (within your Spiffy Ecommerce settings) allows you to set a redirect override for the native Infusionsoft storefront home page.
This essentially turns your storefront homepage into a category page, which allows you to add a single product to your storefront home AND to a category tab within your storefront.
This is the default Infusionsoft storefront URL:
If you go to that link, you will see in the URL that you are redirected to a product category url that we setup in Infusionsoft, labeled “Home”.
By default, in the native (unSpiffy’d) Infusionsoft storefront, if you add a product to a category, it removes that product from the storefront home. This redirect feature enables you to have a product on the storefront home page AND in a category tab at the same time.
The Spiffy storefront theme must be activated in order for this feature to work.
To set this up:
- Create a “Home” product category in Infusionsoft
- Take the URL for that product category page in your shopping cart, and paste it into the Custom Home Category field in your Spiffy Shopping Cart settings panel
- Turn on your Spiffy Storefront in your Spiffy Shopping Cart settings
