My PayPal Button Isn't Working after updating Infusionsoft's PayPal integration

Infusionsoft recently made an update to their PayPal integration to add some new features. This update required you to reconnect your PayPal account from within Infusionsof's E-Commerce Setup.

After updating your PayPal, you might notice some changes on your order forms.

If you happen to see that the PayPal button is not appearing on your form, and notice radio buttons near the credit card field, you will just want to log into your Spiffy account and republish your order forms, as we recently pushed out an update to accommodate Infusionsoft's update.  If you are experiencing this issue, click HERE for more info on republishing your order forms in Spiffy.

If you are experiencing an issue where the PayPal button on an order for appears non-functional, or quickly opens and closes a pop-up for PayPal, check to see if the order form experiencing the issue happens to have a 'Subscription' or a 'Payment Plan' selected for the product you are selling.

If this is the case, you will just need to contact PayPal to have them enable 'Reference Transactions'.  This is required for Infusionsoft to be able to process recurring payments (Subscriptions or Payment Plans).

In the past, Infusionsoft had hid the PayPal option when reference transactions were not enabled in PayPal, and from withing Infusionsoft's PayPal settings, but with the new integration, we are currently seeing that the PayPal button still appears, but does not function, if 'Reference Transactions' are not enabled in your PayPal account.

Once you have enabled 'Reference Transactions' in PayPal, there may be a 24-48 hour waiting period on PayPal's end, but you should see that the PayPal button functions on order forms that have subscriptions and payment plans available.

You can enable 'Reference Transactions' from within your PayPal account, or by contacting PayPal Support @ 1-888-221-1161
